About Us
We have a small family-run business on our working croft. We gave up our life-eating careers and bought our croft with the aim of providing a better quality of life for our family. We love the crofting life and our beautiful surroundings and want to be able to share that with guests staying at our small campsite.
About The Croft
Situated 3 miles outside Dornoch in the Sutherland region of the Scottish Highlands, our croft comprises 52 acres of grassland overlooking the Dornoch Firth to the east and Sutherland hills to the west. A croft is a small farm or area of agricultural land in the Scottish Highlands and Islands. As crofters we are responsible for making sure we care for our land and use it productively. We have a small herd of Aberdeen Angus cattle and a small flock of sheep. We also produce hay to sell to other neighbouring crofts. Ensuring our animals have the best possible life and maintaining the crofting way of life are our key motivations.
